Councilmember Steve J. Bestolarides
Steve Bestolarides graduated from the University of the Pacific.
He is the General Manager for Harley Davidson of Stockton, and is involved
with Rotary International and El Concilio.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys motorcycles, golfing, fishing, and relaxing with his family. |

Stockton Celebrates the Opening
of Its Newest Fire Station
On May 20, 2005, the City of Stockton held a grand opening
of the newest Fire House, Station 13, which is located
at 8891 Bergamo Circle. The newest station in Stockton
Fire Department's inventory fills a critical need for the residents of North East Stockton. The Engine is staffed with four fighters, two who are crossed-trained as paramedics.

Projects in the District
- Eight Mile Road-Interstate 5 (I-5) Interchange Improvement Project
The project proposes to widen Eight-Mile Road to an eight-lane facility through the I-5 interchange and add approach and departure lanes at the freeway ramps/surface street intersections. The project also includes traffic signal installations at both intersections of Eight Mile Road and access ramps. The project will reconstruct the northbound and southbound off-ramps to two lanes and will also widen the northbound on-ramp to two lanes and the southbound on-ramp to allow for three lanes with ramp metering.

A new shopping area, completed in 2004. Includes
Kohl's, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dress Barn,
Sportsmart, Petsmart, and Lane Bryant. Over 1500 employees.
- Wal-Mart Super Center - 3223 E. Hammer Lane
Completed in 2004, this 218,000 square foot store
is the first Wal-Mart Super Center in Northern California.
It combines traditional Wal-Mart store, with a grocery
store.
