Community & Health Center

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Dorothy Jones Community & Health Center on August 23. The newly constructed center is located at 2040 Airport Way in South Stockton.

One of the first projects to be funded through the City of Stockton's Strong Neighborhood Initiative is the Airport Way Neighborhood Service Center in South Stockton.

The 6,400 s.f. neighborhood service center will be located on the east side of Williams Brotherhood Park on Fair Street (at 2040 South Airport Way) and will be managed by the Coalition United for Families and Community Partnership for Families (CUFF). Phase I of the Center will house offices, community meeting rooms, and a medical clinic. Phases II and III will include a gymnasium and multi-purpose facility. Construction is expected to begin in November of this year and is planned for completion by Fall 2007.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Airport Way Neighborhood Service Center was held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Brotherhood Park on Airport Way. The event celebrated the groundbreaking of Phase I: Community Services and Health Center. The Center will be constructed using CDBG , Public Facilities Fees, and Strong Neighborhood Initiative funding. Over 250 community leaders and residents attended the celebration.

For more information on the Airport Way Neighborhood Service Center contact the City's Parks & Recreation Department at 209-937-8206 or email parks@ci.stockton.ca.us
