2008 Airport Corridor Job Fair

(Stockton, CA) – The Airport Corridor Action Team, City of Stockton, and San Joaquin County WorkNet will host the Airport Corridor Job Fair at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, 1658 S. Airport Way, Building 2, Stockton, on Thursday, September 18, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Early admission is available at 9:00 a.m. for veterans and persons with disabilities only.

The Airport Corridor Job Fair is an annual event focused on the goal of bringing long-term success and economic stability to the south Stockton area. It is free and open to everyone. The purpose of the Job Fair is to help job seekers in the community secure employment close to home. Employers will be on-site accepting applications, with some even conducting interviews during the event. Job seekers should dress in appropriate business attire and bring multiple resume copies. Free resume critiques and job readiness tips will be offered to all job seekers.

Dozens of agencies will provide information and assistance, in English and in Spanish, identifying resources to help overcome barriers to employment, including housing, transportation, healthcare, child care and other resources required by those seeking employment.

For additional information, please contact Maria Castellanos, San Joaquin County WorkNet, at (209) 468-3598.
