benefiting from services provided by the City of Stockton's
Public Works Department.
The Public Works Department is responsible for Stockton's street
maintenance; street lighting; city fleet maintenance; waste pick up; recycling; engineering planning,
design & construction, traffic planning, engineering &
management; development review; and capital improvement program
project delivery.
Our department of 189 employees is committed to bringing these services
to the people of Stockton, day and night.
Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Stockton's Public Works Department is
to plan, design, build and maintain public works for residents,
businesses and departments of the City of Stockton, and to meet
their needs and expectations with pride and professionalism
in a cost effective manner.

Under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and related statutes and regulations, no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program, service, or activity administered by the City of Stockton.
