Operations and Maintenance

The Operations and Maintenance Division (O & M) maintains a safe, efficient, and reliable street system while improving the living environment for residential neighborhoods. The Division also provides City government with a well-maintained fleet of equipment to use.

O & M is divided into the following divisions:

Fleet
The Fleet Section is the source of all City-owned vehicles and their maintenance. Fleet also ensures compliance with prevailing laws and regulations related to City Vehicles and garage operations.

Street Maintenance
Street Maintenance is responsible for maintaining 670 miles of city streets. See how this incredible responsibility is handled by our able crews.

Traffic Devices
The Traffic Devices Section is divided into three maintenance activities: striping/channelization, signs and parking meters. See how each section makes your drive through town safer and saves you money.

Traffic Signals/Street Lighting
The two crews which make up this section are available 24 hours a day in the event of any traffic signal or street lighting emergency. With 211 traffic signals in town, an emergency can happen anywhere at any time. These crews are there for you.
